Vamosa has enabled a number of very high profile companies and organizations to get their enterprise grade content into SharePoint to achieve true 'Enterprise' SharePoint.
Typically SharePoint has been used within organizations as a workgroup, or departmental solution. This all changed with the launch of SharePoint 2007. This launch gave the enterprise strength that was needed to support large, distributed organizations.
The only issue is, most huge organizations also have huge stores of existing documents and content - and much of this could be locked up in an existing application.
